The “PINO Project,” which stands for ‘Professional Involvement to Reverse the Negative Effects of Alcohol Use,’ is a pioneering effort in the Flanders region aimed at improving the early identification and intervention for harmful alcohol use. By providing tailored training to General Practitioners and integrating community support, the project addresses key barriers to effective alcohol screening and intervention. This multifaceted approach is designed to enhance the delivery of care and reduce the negative impacts of excessive drinking within the community.
