We invest in innovative solutions to help advance progress toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We focus on neglected issues where we can have the greatest impact, working to identify disruptive solutions that can be scaled by others to achieve an outsized impact.

OUR GOALS

Our work is focused on addressing four Sustainable Development pillars where we can make the most difference. For each, we focus on measuring outcomes to ensure we’re identifying the most promising, scalable solutions, while also empowering women, serving neglected populations, and reaching communities underserved by others. We work with our partners to measure a specific set of KPIs designed to gauge progress and measure success.

INITIATIVES WE SUPPORT

We strategically focus on filling gaps and addressing critical opportunities to fulfill the SDGs globally. As a result, the sustainable development projects on which we partner meet the following criteria:
  • The solution or approach to be funded is new/innovative and in the pilot phase. We do not support scaling/expanding existing or proven initiatives.
  • The project addresses the core focus of one or more of our pillars.
  • The project also emphasizes women’s empowerment and achieves an outsized impact on women and girls.
  • The location of the project shows a significant need compared to other locations globally, and is currently underfunded or unfunded by other donors.
  • The project can be completed in 1-3 years. Outcomes and results can be measured and reported regularly and shared publicly.
